Outsider Charters was a great choice for a coastal waters fishing experience. Chris is an outstanding guide, paying attention to every detail for a very positive experience. Wicked boat, clean and comfortable and the gear he uses for salmon and jigging for cod is top notch. Not a bad day on the water when you catch your limits, see some humpback whales and do some touring around the islands. Awesome day!

What a blast. Captain was super knowledgable about fishing . . . it was clear he was focused on making sure the group had a good time. Boat was perfect for a group, lots of space to spread out and a good mix of inside and outside space. I’ve done several fishing charters in the past, and this was by far the best.

Chris is the fishing boat captain…and he is fantastic! Good humoured, accommodating and proficient . . . you will find and catch fish on this charter! The boat is excellent! Wide and stable with a great fishing deck, there is room for a group to move and fight the salmon. The rigging and gear are top notch, you’d expect nothing less from a true enthusiast like Chris . . .

A great day out with Chris and Outside Charters. Orcas, eagles, dolphins and fish! Chris worked hard to find the fish and he delivered a hard fighting 77 cm chinook on a day when the fish were elusive. A beautiful, well outfitted boat in pristine condition. Thanks Chris. What a blast. A day with Outsider Charters is a day well spent. I’ve been on a few fishing trips, but this ranks the best. Excellent knowledgable guide who has time and focus on you and your needs. Comfortable extremely clean boat with excellent fishing equipment . . . Chris is convivial, humorous and a first rate fish guide. I have hired charters in the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico and Captain Chris and Outsider provided the best experience I have had to date for me and my family. Go to charter in Campbell River. Comfortable, clean boat. Knowledgeable guide. Will be back for more and can’t recommend Chris enough for anyone looking to fish in the Campbell River area.

Great day on the water today. Chris runs a first class operation. He runs a new NWAC boat equipped with very good reels, rods, riggers and motors. The boat is solid, steady and comfortable. He will work an area hard, then be willing to move on, or change gear if no action after a while. He communicates well. No surprises. His concern about angler safety is present right from the start . . . I have fished with many guides over the past 20+ years in the PNW and would definitely recommend Chris.

Last day of the season! Excellent day fishing around Campbell River with Outsider Charters. Chris the guide was very knowledgeable of the area and boat and equipment used was top quality. Weather was great and we managed to catch a view fish despite being out of season. Overall a truely rememberable day and I recommend fishing with Chris to anybody.

Definately a worthwhile trip to take. From lots of salmon and bottom fish to experiencing the breathtaking scenery and wildlife capt. chris has you covered. The moment you step onto the more than comfortable boat you can tell your in good hands . The boat and equipment are spotless and well kept . His jovial manner and knowledge of the area are an amazing bonus to the great fishing.

My hubby and I did his bucket list salmon fishing trip – it was phenomenal! Fishing was incredible and I knew I would be comfy on board even if the fishing gods weren’t on our side. Outsider Charters has a toilet on the boat, aluminium hard top and heater inside the cab to keep you warm just in case it’s raining at Campbell River. Plus lots of space and ice in the cooler to keep your refreshments chilled. Happy to read and see they had COVID protocols. We caught our limit, enjoyed the scenery and watching the seals and sea lions, Chris was easy to chat with and it was a great way to enjoy Beautiful British Columbia.

These last couple days out on the water were nothing short of eventful. My first time ever fishing on the ocean did not disappoint! Chris was wonderful, did an amazing job of teaching me exactly what to do when I really had no idea . . . Thank you for such a wonderful weekend filled with lots of laughs and lots of fish! We will be back . . .

Picked Outsider at random off of the web and it was like winning the lottery! Chris was a fantastic captain and host on a clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable boat for our five hour fishing/whale watching trip. The four of us are still talking about it . . . we had a great day on the water. There were even whales! Highly recommended . . .

1st class salmon fishing trip. We had an awesome day on the water. Chris is an excellent guide, made sure we had a lot of fun, and got everything we wanted out of our fishing trip. The boat is really well setup and with Chris’s help we caught a whole range of fish and managed to fit in some sight seeing. Definitely recommend Chris and Outsider Charters.

Trip of a lifetime! I spent two days fishing with my son and two of our best friends. We could not have had a better experience. Chris is an amazing guide. We caught some good sized fish, saw whales, seals, and dolphins, and even saw a bear on a nearby shore. The boat is very comfortable. We will definitely be back!!!

Incredible day of fishing on one of the nicest charter boats in Campbell River. We had non stop action all day. My only complaint is my arm was a little sore by the end of the day from reeling in all the fish and my beers kept getting too warm because there was no time to drink them. …haha. Can’t recommend Outsider Charters enough.

Been out prawning and salmon fishing with Outsider Charters twice now and both have been great trips! A very comfortable boat and Chris is a super friendly and knowledgeable guy – the days literally flew by and was able to put prawns and salmon on the dinner table!

Chris is knowledgeable, friendly and has one of the nicest and best equipped fishing boats on the west coast. The full cabin was nice to be able to get in out of the elements . . .
